A.P. English Summer Reading “Blog”

          As you complete your summer reading, you are also required to write entries on your blog.  For each book you are required to write five blog entries.  Thus, after reading both novels, your blog should consist of at least 10 blog entries.  Of course, you may write more, should you choose.

            Your ten entries should be composed of the following:

• Five responses to questions I pose on the class blog.  These responses should not be quick, undeveloped, mechanical entries, but thoughtful, intelligent answers/arguments.  Anything less than 4-5 paragraphs is not consistent with an insightful A.P. quality answer.  I will comment on each of these responses to give you some guidance and provide my own thoughts.

            If during your reading you find yourself troubled or stumbling with a particular part of either novel, post a comment on the class blog and I’ll respond to your question the next time I check in.  I plan to check the class blog several times a week when possible, so you should plan to check the class blog at least once a week throughout the summer.  Good luck and enjoy your summer freedom!
